The Guggenheim House

Palm Springs, California

The Exterior

The Guggenheim House boasts broad, sweeping vistas of the San Jacinto mountains from the home and backyard with its coveted western-facing view. Abutting the Indian Canyons golf course but hedged for complete privacy, the yard features all of the amenities and features one could want for the quintessential Palm Springs experience: The new pool is almost 50 feet long and perfect for play or exercise, and a tanning shelf features Ledge Lounger recliners and generous patio umbrellas. Chaise lounges by the pool are ideal for tanning, while numerous shaded seating areas under the porch offer a break from the sun. There is also a hammock for an afternoon nap. A built-in Jacuzzi is perfect for relaxation and for enjoying a cool beverage in the evenings. A dramatic fire strip along the back of the pool makes for elegant evening entertaining. A second built-in fire feature, surrounded by comfortable lounge seating underneath a mature olive tree, is a great place to enjoy the cool nights with friends. Nearby is a recently-installed hard-lined gas grill – perfect for entertaining! Just outside the kitchen is an outdoor dining area with comfortable seating for eight. Mature landscaping and palm trees complete the experience. Alongside the house, and walled for privacy, is a recently-added outdoor shower.
